Partners and Supporters

As of September 8, 2011, SVCC also has the German NGO Digitale Brücke / Digital Bridges e.V. as supporting partner organisation. A memorandom of understanding (MOU) was set up to formalise the intended cooperation. This German NGO had already supported the project some years ago.  Digitale Brücke / Digital Bridges e.V. is "...actively working on integrating the developing countries in the global information society and promote the use of information- and communication technologies as instrument to improve development cooperation".

Furthermore, a team of supporters and advisors based in the USA, in UK and The Netherlands,  well connected to each other,  contributes to SVCC. See our contacts page.

We also have a partnership with Friends of Chitwan, a Dutch non-profit organisation. Friends of Chitwan supports the building up of structures for computer and multimedia training for Nepali communities, especially in the Chitwan district. They also do research about (ICT) devlopment projects in the region. The organisation helps SVCC to collect funds, establish contacts and further promote our work.

Then, we are very glad about a series of awesome images donated by Berlin photographer Claudia Hechtenberg. She visited our project during a longer stay in Nepal. See the 'Nepal' section for a gallery.

Financial support in the past came from Digital Bridges, the Mirgakunja Bufferzone Committee, as well as from several private donors.
