Applications and Platforms

We started up years ago teaching exclusively Free and Open Source software, originally SuSe Linux, and later Mandrake and Fedora.  Some of our students were able to gain deeper insights by being exposed to source code, scripting and Linux in general - and it greatly helped their higher education and careers later in life.  Proprietary operating systems and other software also play an important role in the job market, so in recent years we have taught both side by side.
